What Is the Canadian Dental Care Plan?
The CDCP is a new government-funded program designed to provide partial financial support for dental care to individuals and families with limited income who do not already have private dental insurance.
It does not offer entirely free dental care. Instead, it covers a portion of dental treatment costs based on your household income, allowing you to receive the care you need at a significantly reduced cost.
Who Is Eligible?
The CDCP is open to individuals who meet the following criteria:
Income: Your family net income must be less than $90,000 per year
Insurance: You must not have access to private dental insurance
Residency: You must be a Canadian resident with a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN)

What Services Are Covered?

Your dental team will walk you through any additional treatments you may need and what portion is covered by the CDCP.
How to Apply
Applying for the CDCP is straightforward and only takes about 5 minutes. You can apply either online or by phone.

Please note, you will need the following information before you begin:
Your Social Insurance Number (SIN)
Your most recent Notice of Assessment from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA)
Basic personal information such as your date of birth and contact details
Note: You must reapply for the CDCP every year with updated financial information.
What Happens After You’re Approved?
Once your application is accepted, you will receive confirmation of your eligibility. From there:
- You do not need to submit any paperwork—our reception team will handle all the billing and claim submissions for you.
- Simply book your routine cleaning or check-up with us.
- If additional care is needed, our team will provide a clear breakdown of what services are covered under your CDCP benefits.
