Welcome Dr. Howell!

The entire staff at Westmount Dental Care is delighted to welcome a highly experienced professional to our team: Dr. Jenny Howell!

With a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Genetic Engineering from McMaster University in Ontario, and a Master’s degree in Neurology and Neurosurgery from McGill University, Dr. Howell has always had a passion for science. Her studies and research career have shown her how important it is for her to have a direct impact on human health. Having worked as a dental assistant for several years while in high school, she returned to dentistry and in 2010 completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Maryland’s Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, graduating Magna Cum Laude. In the following years, she completed a General Practice Residency and worked as an attending at Massachusetts General Hospital’s dental group where, in addition to treating patients, she supervised dental residents. In 2015, family life brought her to New Jersey, where she worked as a general dentist and Clinical Director for Malo Smile USA, developers of the All-on-4^® protocol. Then, in 2019, she opened her own private practice and remained its owner until recently, when she and her family decided to return to beautiful Montreal.

Having practiced for 14 years Dr. Howell is competent in all phases of general dentistry; however, it is her kindness, compassion and gentle touch that are most noted by her patients.  As someone who values overall health and well-being, Dr. Howell prides herself on taking the time necessary to educate and develop rapport with her patients so that an individualized treatment plan can be developed that addresses the needs and desires of each and every patient.   

In her spare time Dr. Howell enjoys spending time with her husband and three children in the outdoors, reading, cooking and gardening. She has an admitted weakness for chocolate and coffee and tends to sing while treating patients! As someone who values clinical excellence and evidence based dentistry, she is thrilled to have joined Drs. Hamilton and Moraga and the team at Westmount Dental Care, a dental office with state of the art technology that prioritizes patient care. She looks forward to serving you and your family’s needs!
